have taken Emerging and Assistive Technologies designed and
developed several projects for this class. Some of these
projects have been implemented at Camp Soaring Eagle (a

Alar's Nest

Camp Soaring

UMW's graduate students participated for three years as
counselors for Camp Soaring Eagle as part of their class
assignments for Emerging and Assistive Technologies and for
Survey of Special Education:
Characteristics and Legal Issues. While materials are
camp-specific, this page has wonderful resources and
examples of authentic learning by UMW graduate students.
